Venice half day exploration by walking – Venice is the world’s only pedestrian city (no vehicle or public transport on the road). The whole city can be explored by foot or water transport.

Exploring canals:-

– Gondola ride (might be as expensive as euro 80) : Gondoliere may decrease price upon bargain but they may also cut the most interesting part of ride for ‘cutting down’ the price.

– Vaporetti (water buses): euro 7

o zig-zagging the Grand canal, impressive views but crowded with passenger

– Traghetto (ferry) ; Larger gondola without bow decoration, brocaded chairs or luxury trimmings

o Can be as cheap as euro 0.5

*Lucern is a small town which can be explored by foot (in fact it is best explored by foot). Most of the attractions are within 20 minutes or so walk (with exception of the Lido beach and the Swiss Transport Museum). We’ll hop on city bus once knees beg for mercy. Attractions:-

– Unterseen : small town where the hotel located
